Our Principles

Saints of the Wild is an honest beauty & body store who aim to help consumers build trust in natural personal care products. We want you to feel assured that every ingredient in every product is safe and does its job well. Everything we sell is tested, loved and legitimately clean. If we wouldn’t use it on ourselves or our babies, then we don’t sell it. It's that simple.

Saint of the wild principle

(We'll try and keep this part short and simple) So, not only is clean beauty vital for your skin's health, helping curb unnecessary breakouts, pre-mature ageing and allergic or bad reactions. It's also vital for your hormones, mental & reproductive health and the crucial developmental health of our children.  Unfortunately the main problem lies with the cosmetics industry still today remaining largely unregulated within Australia. Many synthetic chemicals & known carcinogens are allowed in our beauty products if they are used in small amounts. These chemicals also go on to effect the environment in which we live, given most eventually enter our waterways and oceans. The way that cosmetics are harvested, produced and manufactured, if done sustainably & ethically, can make a huge difference to the health of our planet. If we make the right choices as consumers we can help steer the personal care industry giants in the right direction.

We have seen other similar stores unwittingly misleading customers by stocking only some of a brand's safe products, therefore leading customers to believe that every product under that brand name is safe. To avoid this misunderstanding we only stock brands whose entire product line is 100% toxin-free.*

SOTW supports brands that use sustainable practices and those who give back to the environment and the community. Read all about our curated list of brands on OUR BRANDS page.

Each and every shipment to you is carbon neutral, as our delivery service, Sendle, invest in certified environmental initiatives to offset the impact of shipping.  "In the clean beauty space, non-toxic means that a product shouldn't include any ingredient that's been deemed toxic at any dose by a third-party resource like the European Union or Environmental Working Group" -The Ultimate Guide to Clean Beauty (Harper's Bazaar, April 2020)

*Currently ALDER NY, ROHR REMEDY, PEOPLE4OCEAN and SALT & STONE are phasing Phenoxyethanol out of their entire product range due to the latest advice from ECOCERT on this ingredient not being safe to use. For this reason we are able to stock these brands, however, we do not sell any of the products in their line that currently contain this controversial preservative.
